Who we are

Mimax was founded in 2008, born from the desire to start a project in the lighting industry, supplying customers with efficient, functional, and aesthetically pleasing products at a fair price, along with attentive and effective after-sales customer service.
The project, as one might expect, began small and humble. Today, the project is no longer small, but we maintain the same humility and enthusiasm as on day one.

We currently offer more than 2,500 decorative and technical lighting products, for both indoor and outdoor use, as well as one of the best collections of ceiling fans on the market, with and without lights.
We have a presence in more than 20 countries worldwide, with a clear commitment to serving both the domestic and export markets, and we continue to expand.

We are deeply committed to excellence in service and meticulous product quality, truly placing the customer at the heart of our project, and we continue to grow with the invaluable support of our customers, designers, employees, and external partners.

2008 Spark & Determination

Mimax was founded in 2008, completely ignoring the signs of the impending financial and economic crisis and turning it into an opportunity.

In this initial phase, Mimax distributed products from other foreign manufacturers in the domestic market, as well as products from domestic manufacturers in export markets.
This activity allowed us to create, maintain, and consolidate a significant client portfolio, enabling us to launch our growth and expansion with force.

Our facilities in this first stage were extremely modest, but our enthusiasm for growth by doing things right, and above all, having a clear vision of where and how we wanted to go, combined with an enormous drive to work towards achieving it, propelled us to the next phase.

2010 Roots

Mimax moved to the warehouse on França Street in Igualada, where we remained until 2016. Our facilities during this period, along with the increase in our staff, greatly helped us manage sustained growth.
We began designing our own products, with the help of established external designers, and our first in-house brand catalog was launched.

2014 Impulse

The Led-Decore concept is born. A decorative lighting concept using exclusively LED technology as the light source, demonstrating that functionality and aesthetics can go hand in hand. Form & Function.
Mimax introduces the Shine series, which at the time was an incredible innovation in the market (the use of LED strips in geometrically random shapes that efficiently illuminate spaces and decorate with modern style).

This idea would later be used by several competitors, but to this day, Mimax continues to sell the Shine series with great enthusiasm, constantly adding features to the products: remote controls, color temperature control and selection, light intensity adjustment, etc.

2016 Consolidación

The move to the offices on Gran Bretanya Street consolidates Mimax's growth at all levels. Acquiring the facilities outright, increasing the company's assets, and ensuring the start of a mature phase that allows us to design many more products and manufacture them according to high standards of quality and rigor.
2016 also marks a qualitative and quantitative leap in our expansion in Europe, with our participation in international trade fairs, such as Light & Building in the 2016 edition.

2018 Growth

In our expansion and plans for strong growth, we decided to design and manufacture a collection of ceiling fans, improving upon the existing standards in the industry at that time with a clear objective: to provide the products with additional and improved features compared to similar products from the competition, to exercise moderation in the profit margins and to offer the customer clear competitive advantages.

2018 Logo 10th Anniversary

Mimax, in collaboration with iseecows Studio, designed the logo for its 10th anniversary. A fresh, friendly, and clear logo that, above all, respects the essence of the company's founding and projects its vision into the future.

2019 Are you a lighting fan?

Mimax's lighting catalogs now offer 2,500 products, covering the full spectrum of needs a customer might have when illuminating a space or giving it character.
The first FANS catalog, the culmination of the previous year's efforts, is launched. The catalog is met with overwhelming success, exceeding all expectations.

2020 New dreams

Doubling of available warehouse space. Construction of an additional warehouse floor.
Significantly expanding our fan range. New designs by Ezio Pescatori and iseecows Studio.

2023 New B2B Our customers closer than eve

2026 Made in Europe

With the release of our theLIGHTS 26 catalog, Mimax returns to its roots: the local manufacturing of our decorative lighting products. We are firmly committed to "Made in Europe" as a guarantee of quality, meticulous craftsmanship, and design. In an increasingly globalized world, we are coming back home, manufacturing locally in small workshops across Europe to ensure our customers receive the extra quality they deserve.
